And I Care .....

I should be doing other things,
And I will, later,
But I wanted to write you,
As dusk falls in my world,
And the darkness settles,
I wanted to tell you,
That I care …..


You know who you are,
You're out there somewhere,
Doing the things you do,
Going about the business of your day,
And when you get home,
You'll pour a coffee,
And log on,
Hopefully,
You'll read this, and know,
That I care ….


We're good, you and I,
We have an understanding,
You know who I am,
Where I'm coming from,
I can have fun with you,
I can be serious, too,
I am your friend,
I love you,

And I care.....

Craved Contentment

It’s been a long time coming round, this craved contentment, this freedom from niggling doubt and worry…Suddenly it has arrived; and I’m not sure I know what to do with it.


Does this sound strange? It feels strange, like all your dreams, hopes and wishes coming at the same time, and you let them fall into their place. There is no grief left in my life, all the past pain, physical and emotional, has gone and nothing and no one could hurt further.


It has all been done; love came and went, and I faced mortality head on. The very real possibility of leaving this world behind didn’t scare me, but I felt cheated! There were things I still wanted, dreams to fulfil… And I did…


I am survivor, I am healed and, I am happy. I stayed up late and watched the sunrise from my window.


How about that then world? Peace, Shalom, Namaste...

And, at long last …

Contentment.

He Sings......

From a window
I peruse,
My new view,

I watch silent rain,
That settles softly,
In crystal droplets,

I rest elbows on the sill,
And cast my eyes,
On bluebell woods,

Nearby,
A bird on a bough,
Is tuneless,

Until the door opens,
I step out,

And he sings…..

Intro In The Wrong Place....Hello...

Okay, around some parts I'm better known as Linda Harnett, but here, under the auspices of the world wide web I'm Misty Veil and also Healing Hands..
This is my first tentative steps at blogging, (whatever that is) and I'm pretty darn sure someone will enlighten me.
I am definitely more at home in poetic circles where you can hide behind a mask so this should be an eye-opener!
